Meet some of the hard-working heads of departments at Staunton Rook! Whether it’s coming up with innovative strategies to reach customers, creating creative digital campaigns or delivering carefully executed exhibitions, they always strive to make sure the brand stands out and the messaging hits the mark. 

From problem solving to producing marketing materials and graphics, the team works together on projects with a shared goal of success. Put together their design acumen, proven marketing methods, strategic leadership visions, and relentless enthusiasm and you have the perfect platform for a successful campaign.

Stewart - Managing Director

Stewart Thompson

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Stewart founded Staunton Rook in 2004, with over 45 years’ experience he spent his formative years in Direct Marketing which he is still passionate about because most of the results are measurable.

His passion has always been to under promise and over deliver which appears to have worked well for him as over 80% of the companies turnover is repeat business. 

Stewart has a keen interest in classic cars and is the proud owner of a Morgan Roadster, when he is not tinkering with it he loves to take it for a trip through the British countryside.

Rachael Account Director

Rachael Battersby

GROUP ACCOUNT DIRECTOR LLB, CIM

With over 20 years marketing experience along with a Postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Rachael is the driving force behind the Creative and Account Management team.

She has an excellent track record for developing client marketing strategies, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects and exceeding customer expectations.

Rachael has two children Hugo and Darcey, away from work she enjoys spending time with her family including their dog Hudson, travelling and enjoying good food and wine whilst socialising with friends.

Mark Graphic Designer

Mark Roberts

STUDIO MANAGER

Mark heads up our design studio and has over 25 years’ experience in the design industry and is multi-disciplined in both online and offline marketing.

Mark will oversee the design aspects of your project ensuring your brand guidelines and consistency are always adhered to.

Away from the studio, you will find Mark obsessing over the latest vinyl releases, in seat E6 at his local Odeon or by the bar in the Manchester Academy.

Archie - Marketing Business Development

Archie Thompson

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Archie plays a valuable role at Staunton Rook by working at the front end of our business handling all new client relations and on-boarding and developing connections which go on to form the foundation of our ongoing future client relationships.

Archie has significant experience in hospitality management as well as being fully versed in all aspects of marketing such as product development, digital marketing and event management.

In his spare time, Archie enjoys walking his Dachshunds, Maple and Dexter as well as volunteering his time helping local businesses understand the impact and importance of digital marketing.

Karen - Account Manager

Karen Fletcher

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Karen forms an integral part of the Account Management team; with several years of experience in customer relationship roles, she takes pride in building excellent working relationships with clients.

Karen also takes pride in ensuring seamless delivery of a variety of tasks including proofreading, social media, studio liaison and researching new ideas for client campaigns.

Outside of Staunton Rook, Karen is a busy mum of two and can be found planning the family’s next trip away, be it sun, ski, or caravanning.

James - Exhibition Co-ordinator

James Battersby

EXHIBITION OPERATIONS MANAGER

Meet James, our Exhibition Operations Manager. His background as a time served maintenance engineer means he is perfectly placed to coordinate and manage the delivery and build of our exhibitions – ensuring that each one is delivered on time and to spec no matter the location. Alongside technical competence, James also brings dedication and enthusiasm every day so that each event meets our exacting standards.

Away from work James is a bit of a fixer and loves a good project, he also enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his family, good food and is partial to a nice glass of red.
